Illustrator paths and swirling animation in After Effects

https://youtu.be/JTTp4qugJ54

This video was initially created in Illustrator using a large collection of paths in random colors.  The artwork was then imported into After Effects and the Illustrator file was then manipulated using a number of distortion  effects within After Effects.  Obviously the underlying Illustrator file does not change but the After Effects distortion settings do and a still image is turned into an interesting and ‘live’ looking video.  It is a pity that the underlying Illustrator image cannot be manipulated across time (either in After Effects or Illustrator itself but Illustrator lacks any kind of animation sadly though a workaround would be to create a number of discreet vector files and change those over time. )
